About this centro

Céu do Mapiá is the principal community of the CEFLURIS line of the Santo Daime religion, founded by Padrinho Sebastião Mota de Melo in 1983 in the deep Amazon of the state of Acre. It is a religious settlement, not a retreat center. Visitors travel by riverboat from Boca do Acre and stay only with prior coordination through the church.

Daime is consumed in the ritual context of trabalhos (services) under the line's hymnals and discipline. The community is a regulated entity in Brazil.
